Help Build a More Informed World
Our Mission: Strengthening Independent Thinking Today
We live in a time where information reaches us faster than we can examine it. News feeds, social platforms, and AI-generated text don’t just inform us — they influence us, often before we notice. And when influence goes unseen, division and polarization grow.
Check Text Bias exists to make one essential skill accessible to everyone: recognizing stance, bias, and subtle influence in writing — clearly and calmly.
The goal is not to tell anyone what to think, but to support independent judgment, thoughtful interpretation, and genuine understanding. When we become aware of how language guides perception, we gain the freedom to decide for ourselves.
A Tool for a More Informed Society
Bias isn’t inherently negative — it’s part of communication. The issue is unexamined bias: when persuasion is disguised as neutrality or shapes beliefs without awareness. Check Text Bias helps make media literacy practical and empowering, not overwhelming or academic — so people can read with clarity rather than confusion.
The Larger Purpose: AI That Helps People Think
Check Text Bias is part of a broader mission: building AI that strengthens human thinking, not replaces it. Much of today’s AI is optimized for speed and instant answers. There’s value in that—but something is missing. My work takes a different direction: AI that supports reflection, curiosity, and deeper understanding.
Alongside Check Text Bias, I’m building tools aligned with this vision. Conversaverse is a human-centered AI dialogue environment for perspective-taking and meaningful conversation. All of it shares one aim: AI that helps people think more, not less.
